Doom, Despair and Agony Week 10 MKMMA

What in my opinion should have been a very productive week turned south. I am feeling quite overwhelmed and disappointed. Like the path of hell, I always have good intentions.

I was excited to have this bye week to reinforce my learned good behaviors. Unfortunately, long hours at my job and overwhelming obstacles continue to take me off track.

On Dec 1,  one of my employees called off sick and I had to perform her work duties as well as mine. During the course of the day, I tore my rotator cuff. It’s been a long painful week. I can’t believe that I directly caused these events to happen because our subconscious brings about our reality.

How can I overcome these set backs and come out on top? Isn’t there something to be said that sometimes what you want isn’t necessarily what you get. Life has a way of rewriting your life path by unforseeable events.

The power of positive thinking can only get you so far. I have been focusing on positivity and love to rewire and fire my new way of thinking and yet here I am behind the eight ball. Am I truly the owner of my destiny? Time will tell.

  1. Privately, I agree that there are some things we do ” not bring down” on ourselves, or create for our lives. There are some unexplained things that happen. Death of a loved one, an accident, that’ kind of thing. What we do have control over is our response to the event. Continue to have those positive thoughts! They will help! Believe in the process! I’m rooting for you!!

  2. As much as I hate to admit it, Janet, I think your tales of “doom and gloom,” are a kick! That’s not to say I enjoy the fact that you tore your rotator cuff, or any of the other things that seem to crop up and make your life more difficult – it’s the way that you describe them. Those words are, in part, what Marj is referring to as “our response to the event.” Remember, what Mark says about refusal to answer the call? Quite frankly, I see it so loud and clear, I know that soon you will, too. Embrace that! Janet, you are as wonderful and powerful as everyone else! Use the Law of Dual Thought, The Law of Substitution, The Mental Diet, etc., and I think you will soon see the… Can you fill in the blank?

You know, how a lot of people let clichés govern their life, and yet most, if not all of them, are defective. For example, someone told me a long time ago that the pathway to hell is paved with good intentions. Taken literally, it’s almost as if justifying bad intentions. I mean, if the pathway to hell is paved with good intentions, then what is the pathway to heaven paved with? There is some wisdom in the saying though. It is saying that good intentions, while absolutely necessary (this is implied), are sometimes, even often, not enough. Knowledge doesn’t apply itself. I’m a prime example. If something unexplainable happens while using my computer, for instance, I might be the first to blame the illuminati, or some other goofy thing making me the victim of something out of my control. This is where the Mental Diet, the Law of Dual Thought, etc., needs to step in, stop such thoughts in their tracks, and realize that my digitally-connected misfortunes are really opportunities in disguise. The sooner and sooner I see this, the sooner all blame disappears and positive thought becomes a habit. Our minds can hold only one thought at a time. If we want our life to be completely happy, or as least as happy as it can be, it’s up to us to make the correct choice, and make each thought a happy thought – no matter what comes our way. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that, so…
